First of all apparently I can ski like shit after a 3 week break:
And then the ski out on the death track Singing Pass trail felt like this:
Pure ice for 12 km - don't try to break around corners with a drop off on one side - duck the log after the corner and hit a blind dip - continue swerving trees - aaaaaaaaaaaall the way down. It was terrifying. We both fell once and it HURT. The only difference between Mario and us was that we only had one life.
We thought our approach to the top of Fissile was exciting, but it compared nothing to the singing pass trail. Nonetheless, here is Maddy getting ready to start booting sketchy thin rotten snow on scree.
I just topped out of the scary boot pack to the summit ridge.

We didn't really know how to drop into the N face of Fissile, but we saw some tracks and decided to follow them.

The red line is what we skied. The yellow lines from the left are Elevator Shaft, Summit Chute and Saddle Chute. We wanted some untracked snow so we veered off Elevator Shaft.

I'm sick all over again after skiing Fissile, but it was totally worth it. Thanks Maddy for another awesome girls day out!
