Perfect weekends keep stacking up in Cascadia!
This time around the Amarometer detected hero volcano conditions five days out at 5σ.

I had only skied [Big] Tahoma once before, via the Emmons route, for my sixth day ever on skis. Luckily, volcano skiing is so easy, even snowboarders can do it.
So I was down for whatever. Everything is fat--I'm sure it all went.

The Gib Chute was waffled over, but the Finger/Thumb won out for [relative] quietude I suppose. So we packed up as much stuff as we could put in and on our packs, and set out over the rollers at Nisqually Beach.

With a bunch of avy gear and steel accessories we shifted into 'super slow'

You got my heartbeat running away!

After setting in a few decoy tracks to provide extra exercise for latecomer Dave Brown, we settled into perfection.

...for the "shit ski mountaineers say" meme?

Amarometric win, if I ever saw one. Great way to celebrate the weather window; nice turns.

My data tells me that to qualify for Amarometry you need to be nice, reliable and not too sketchy on the mountain, and/or a rippin girl skier. Bright colors a plus. Qualified applicants encouraged to submit CV and photos to amarsangels@skimowteneer.com

Ah, that was just my poo bag when I fell on it after submarining a 163cm ski in mush on my way down to the bridge. Luckily, only gas phase poo was emitted in the collision.

I thought having an Amarometer would get me a rippin girl skier, not require me to be one. Hmmmmm. Seems alot less interesting now....
