So then it snowed 1.5m in a week, and Whistler opened. Time for some over-priced lift accessed touring!
Some calzone making the night before fueled us up for the next day. Keith & Greg joined Cam and I and a rough plan was hatched to boot it in the direction of Pattison and see how our timing was before making any decisions.

We made fairly good time to the Decker - Trorey col and Pattison looked pretty sweet

Time to go get it

The views off the summit were nice

We made a few cautious turns on the thin snow at the top, then made our way onto the main face. The snow was stiff powder, but felt pretty good. It must have been some wet snow that tightened up quite nicely.
Cam takes the first few turns on the face

Greg was doing some stability testing

Cam carving up the lower face

The Decker glacier seemed more open than I remembered it. Right off the top we had to cross a funky bridge.
Keith:

We climbed up and crossed over the ridge onto the Spearhead Glacier

And skied Husume by headlamp. The snow in Husume was awesome. Much better than I had expected.

We were entertained by a light show on the ski out as sparks flew off our edges on the numerous rocks. No core shots though.
The technical crux of the day was skiing frozen crud on the lower mountain. Survival skiing.
Fun Day though. It's about to start snowing again. MORE PLEASE
