Yurp, dog.

Came to Europe like a week ago to compete in the Freeride World Tour. Chamonix is rad. Maybe too. Yes we know. Also happens my parents are here as well. First time on a big ski trip, first time in Europe - they're loving it!

I got here and it promptly snowed 1.4 meters. But it was sticky warm and did some weird transforming. Luckily got one morning of waist deep novelty on the mellow slopes of Les Houches.

Then competed in the Cham event on Les Pentes du Hotel on the Brevent side. Kinda funky wind and warm affect up there but fun nonetheless. Placed 5th.

Now in Courmayeur for another competition. They call it "the bright side of Monte Bianco." I'd agree. More sun, less seriousness, same mountain. Skiing has been great over here as has the food, coffee, cocktails and haircuts.

Competition is today. You can check Freerideworldtour.com later, they do a good job of the media stuff.

After the event will hang out and ski a few more days here and there. Then back to Washington where I hear there is also a sufficient supply of the white stuff.

Tabke out.

Sweet you got your parents over there. Thanks for the twinge of jealousy. I can't see what happened at Freerideworldtour.com but it looks like you're in 3rd place overall in the rankings? Good luck, buddy.

Nice to hear all the updates Drew! Sorry to hear about your wreck, but glad you weren't injured and psyched to see you in the top 3! Looking forward to the stories first hand

Fantastic recap. Did you stuff your parents' faces with gelato and negroni after a cream-filled chamonix pow appetizer?

Great to see you killin' it over there Drew. Looks like you and family are having a great time - I'm sure Mrs. Tabke is super proud. Good stoke for Kat's and my trip to Cham in March!
