Bloody boogers
Sometimes life interferes with the opportunity to spew meaningless drivel on the internet. Maybe like when I removed my skis, reclimbed to the top of the couloir and skied the backside instead of this beauty because the snow felt slabby.
After nearly 2.5 years in Vancouver, I have moved and now I live somewhere high and dry. But quite beautiful. Here is a picture with a slight glimpse of some attractive easterly face on Humphreys Peak near Flagstaff.
My dad and I made a long cross-continent drive so he could get a good deal on some skis in Santa Fe. Here he is on Pajarito.
A nice day above the Rio Grande to test his new setup.
His first real powder run?
I stumbled up some peak above Santa Fe yesterday. High and dry, indeed. Lake Peak, 12,408 ft. The snow alternated between windslab and rock.
It was the first time in about 24 years that my mom, my dad and I have all been together.
WELL THAT WAS FUN!

Re: Bloody boogers
That's a move of extremes! Is there enough snow to stay entertained?
Re: Bloody boogers
nice picture of the gene pool. Little jealous of all that blue stuff you see overhead in your photos. Looks like a beautiful area.
Re: Bloody boogers
Nice. I'm only slightly jealous of the blue stuff Ryan mentions. Our snowpack is getting ridiculous though.
Here's the weather (FL 1200m)
and Maddy skiing through some thick soupy snow this weekend on the Duffey
cute family picture too

Re: Bloody boogers
I'm not particularly entertained by the quantity of snow here (or the severe lack of it) but it is very nice to be able to incorporate skiing or climbing or whatever mountainous outdoor activity into my daily life.
Alex, I'll visit when there's a sunny weekend. But don't interpret that according to your skewed concept of sunny.

Wanna get on some indian creek splitter first week in may?
Your mom is hot.

Re: Bloody boogers
I believe that first photo shows more snow than you could extract from the whole state of New Mexico right now. Yes to Indian Creek.

After living on the wet coast forever.I could handle some sun for awhile. With all that money you'll
be making.I recommend getting a mountain bike.Supposed to be some of the best single track riding down there.

Re: Bloody boogers
A change of environment can be a really good thing. Good luck with the move Sky, looking forward to getting down there to climb with you soon!

Re: Bloody boogers
Any time, Pete. I got a 4wd Honda Civic and I'd be happy to swoop you from ABQ. I've been seeing RT flights between ABQ and SEA on southwest.com for $180. Looks like some good granite adventure clambering on the Sandias right above Albuquerque.
How about this, Andy? You swing leads up the Grand Wall with somebody this year and I'll buy a mountain bike.
