Kirkwood comp.

Post by DonJuanPakistan »

A friend, Ryan Hawks, passed away after the comp from injuries sustained during day one.
Before we knew this, we skied powder on the west half of the north face of Thimble Peak for finals.

I should fix these images but I'm late for work.

From below. Blue line is the winning line of the day by this kid who grew up on the N Face of the Matterhorn Samuel Anthamatten.

A video I got by bringing my hi-8 into the theater.

On a positive note, great line you skied. Much respect.

Sorry to hear about Ryan. Must have been a dark cloud over the whole event. Condolences to you and anybody else who knew him.

On a side note- you left some gaps in the lines you drew in those photos. Fix that.

nice work Drew. What are you, 2nd overall now? Welcome back.

It was thought Ryan was recovering during the final day of the competition. We found out the following day.

I'll remember him because we made quick friends and had mutual respect for each other's abilities. I will greatly miss him.

Condolences. It's been a tough season with a lot of loss, to say the least.
But also gotta say appreciated the vid, lines, and stunts--well done. - E
