I finally got up the Midi with a rad Aussie girlfriend who I've been trying to shred with for like a year and what do you know... she forgot her skins once we were below the Tour Ronde and had to ski down the Valley Blanche solo. Good thing she brought her French friend, Cedric the Entertainer, and the two of us headed across the Geant glacier to Italy. We had never met and didn't know each others abilities. I don't think he was too stoked to be with a blonde American snowboarder at first but I knew he would think differently later on. We shredded a sick steep face of crust which was followed by a huge bowl of knee deep mank THEN there was a punishing heel-side traverse. I think it was about 20 degrees C to top it off. We had a coffee and a Seth Morrison sighting then did a variation of the face sans the traverse. Woo hoo!! Tours like this are great for strengthening legs and gumption. Pow is going to feel so nice after all these efforts!!

Headed down the face.
The face we shredded was to the lookers left of this one, over the ridge. It was a better aspect.
