Video: NE Couloir de l'Encrenaz, Chamonix

Post by BettyBoost »

Despite the terrible conditions in the Alps this year we've been managing to find hidden north facing pow up real high. Good thing the Alps are huge and access is superb because it's not too difficult to hike from the lifts. It's pretty funny how big of a bitch fest it is here right now because there's still goods to be had, the thing is, is that splitboards are few and far between so no snowboarders are getting any. The Euro's ogle my board where ever I go, asking questions and asking permission to fondle it. I wouldn't blame them I would too (Prior Brandywise 158 with Karakoram binders). I heart her! It's bluebird everyday and super cold so the snow's not melting. WooooO!!!

This my second video with my new GoPro and it's of the NE Couloir de l'Encrenaz. It was an hour heel-side traverse then skin from the lifts and an hour bootpack to the top of the Aiguille de l'Encrenaz. After that was a 50m optional rappel then a 30m compulsory rappel down a big cliff then there was approx 1600m (5,200ft) of pow fo dayz down into Le Buet, Switzerland where we consumed a couple vin chaud and took the train back to Chamonix. The day after I got the black plague and have been in bed ever since!!!!! Fml.

CHECK IT OUT!!

YIPPEEEEE!!!!!
