North Fork via Baker

Post by Alex »

The approach to the North Fork is long and arduous. We started our approach at the crack of noon...ish

First we had to walk to 1750m to find snow

Up High looks OK

Down low not so much

Donuts helped with nourishment until pizza and beer could be obtained at our objective

Image

The mountain provided donuts as well

We feasted on corn, but this only increased our hunger

We ran into Juya at the bottom of the Roman Wall and convinced her to chow down on the glacier donut.

Some hot slogging finally lead us to our objective

No gnar, just goofing
On Sunday we did the HSCT... super dry. Vancouver is effed for water this summer. Snowpack is 0%.
We ended Sunday at Il Castello in North Van. Pizza and beer double header complete.

Anything Alex posts has my blessing. Same goes for you, Andy.

And that is some really good pizza and decent brew at the North Fork.

Alex, cool donut feature. Post up that Currie South face. We had such a good trip!

Sky, congrats on the mini Sky. Hope to get on some epic, ultra marathons one of these days
again.
