I was scheduled to race the rando race at Alpental. Unfortunately the night before while gluing my skins I managed to make myself sick from the glue fumes.
Last minute, I jumped on a trip to ski the Owls couloir. Alex and Cam dragged me up a 7 hour climb up Mt. Cook with bluebird skies. The clouds decided to poach our line as we finally relaxed on the summit. I felt like I was at altitude and hung over, after such a big day of slogging.
Blan B was a fine option on the south side as we skied billy goat style from one gully feature to couloir to other features in the ever thickening clouds.
