Unrelenting Nines

Post by skykilo »

This climb is great. It's arguably the test-piece crack climb at White Rock. It felt like a big deal to me when I finally led it clean at the end of November, 2011. Today I got photos of George sending it. The light wasn't the best, as a thin layer high clouds filtered the sun, but nevertheless here are some shots.

George starts up the climb. It's hard to tell, but the first half of the climb is actually overhanging.

George works through the final overhanging bit into the crux.

The crux is somewhat sequential, a bit balancy and it feels powerful after climbing through the sustained steepness.

Good job, George! Thanks for letting me take photos.

Nice shots! Much better than my "butt shots" that I lazily take all the time! That thing is THIN! Looks like it would barely take gear.
