Wasatch, Stiffler's Mom et al + tasty treats

So I was out there in Wasatch wonderland for a week.

Who knew Park Party City was so crunk? Here's a worthy soundtrack.

This was my best onsight of the week, from Big Cottonwood Canyon, called Goodro's Wall. It's all good but that Quartzite sure is glassy. Marq Diamond with the top rope.

Another pic for perspective
04, 01

Here's Marq doing a good drunk lead on the third pitch of Stiffler's Mom.
04, 02

Higher on the same pitch.
04, 03

The 5th pitch is some really cool friction funk with several spots with nothing positive for the hands. I follow.
04, 04

WINNING against the hangover
04, 05

Here's the bolted part of the 6th pitch, yeah.
04, 06

Note: I will never try to use a pull cord again on terrain like this. Can you say epic? Marq and I were late for night 2 of the bender, poor form.

Here's Tom, sending the top pitch of Pentapitch after I led Sasquatch (fun!). Impressive that Tom is out there on lead less than a month after a critical splat off Sloe Children at Index. Giv'er, mate!

Speaking of rock climbing accidents, a nice fella who gave us beta at the bottom of Pentapitch rapped off the end of his rope on a nearby pitch shortly thereafter. It sounds like he's going to be all right. Get well soon!

I think Tom has dual citizenship. But he sounds British. So I yelled at him to get out of bed at 6:30 AM on July 4th so I could show him how to celebrate Independence Day. Start with a crack called Bongeater.

Send it, then make sure you're drinking in Party City by noon. Tom showed me on the partying part though. Just let me out here.

There was a spontaneous afternoon rave in Dani's yard when the Alien Solar Party Roller from Burning Man arrived to bring the bump. I pioneered a one-foot-in-the-kiddy-pool dance move and a good time was had by the whole damn city. They didn't play any Thunderheist but that would have been nice. Try this:
Freddie wipe your nose.

I dedicate this last bit to Drew and Mia. Garlic-fried broccoli in action.

First you got to CRUSH IT!

Make sure there's lots of oil in there, put it on high till it sizzles, stir it for a few minutes then you're done.

Let it sit for a few minutes, add some rice vinegar and tamari soy sauce (mine isn't good enough for Naomi but it tastes great to me). Bon appetit !

Wow. What a blurry week. I'm glad you got to participate in the intermountain West's premier 4th of July blow-out. Quite impressive that we actually got some climbing in between the benders.

I'd say your performance of the week involved the disco spaceship for sure. Nice on sight.

STRONG WEEK.

Just climbed Goodro's myself. Making some pizzas for dinner or I'd chomp Broccoli immediately, thanks Sky.

What's the status on the Ski Sickness signature titanium garlic crusher?

deeee luxe. looks like lots o' fun fire days. when do you go back to work? please.

as i recall goodro's is a steep funky crack that climbs notlikecrack. i believe my first 10c onsight, when that shite mattered to me. love the disparate climbing in both those Cottonwood canyons.

And if that's how he represents dignified moderation, fuggedaboutit.

Oh yeah, I worked Wednesday-Friday this week. As luck and feng shui would have it, I also got to climb all those days. :!:

Your special g-crusher is in the R&D department, Drew.
