Pattison (Preseason!?) Powder BC^3
You down with PPP!? Yeah you know me! Is it really the first week of December?
Flashback to two weeks ago on Oboe. Louie's friend Skyler is smiling.
Flashback to USA Thanksgiving. It's snowing in Vancouver and I'm making homemade tortillas to go with a big crockpot full of beans.
Flashback to the weekend before last. Why all the flashbacks? Because these conditions are making me trip!
We were the only party to schralp the pow on the Spearhead Glacier.
And the powder in Husume was worth telemarketing.
Last weekend we achieved the next level of early-season stupidity.
Alex skis sunny powder off Spearhead with Decker in the distance. We'll get to the shady pow on Decker later.
That was fun.
That's Pattison above Alex and look at that beautiful face in the shade!
Ziff on the skintrack up Pattison. Decker and Spearhead are in the distance on the right.
I accidentally skied past the normal entrance to the line on Pattison and found something a little more interesting. It was steep, tight and rocky but not too bad. I was happy with the shenanigans given that this alternate appeared less likely to hold a windslab.
Ziff does a little ski scramble to the pow.
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
Ziff finds love. I am the dot.
Ziff breaks trail toward Decker.
Alex follows at his own pace. He must have been enjoying the views or some other whack telemarker lameness like that.
There was a double-Traslin sighting plus a Canadian Olympic gold medalist atop Decker.
Ziff was too psyched on the pow to play paparazzo.
Alex dances with a crevasse.
Would you believe that it was good out there the next day, too!?
Maddy enjoys some powder while I admire my tracks. It was so perfect.
Another Traslin sighting! Andy on Decker.
HAPPY TIME!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU MORE PLEASE!!!

Nice line on Pattison. One of my favorites on the Spearhead.I think Mike and I skied it
some time in the 90's with secura fixes and 200 cm straight skis.
Also Thanks for breaking trail all weekend and putting up the Schraws Slovak skin track up
to Husume. Sometimes it pays to get up later and get a couple laps in on the hill.
