Naomi and I had a great day climbing Milk Road and Upper Black Dyke on Sunday.
Naomi follows the second pitch of Milk Run.
Naomi leads the first pitch of the dihedral.
She thought she could fix my pink tricam, but I'm a nut-tool technician.
Keep those arms extended and save the muscles for later.
Like right now.
A fun pitch with both crack and face climbing gains Tantalus Ledge.
Naomi starts up the ramp.
I made it harder than it needed to be to avoid some of the dirt.
Crescent tower offers a fun pitch with a lot of variety: offwidth, chimney, then fingers and face. Offwidth first.
Then chimney. Clench pack between butt cheeks and go. Look at that wicked overhanging crack: gotta climb that next time.
Naomi moves onto the beautiful traverse after the chimney.
Naomi leads the Crescent Dyke.
It looks way more impressive and the light suits it better from the other side. Thanks to Andy Cairns for the awesome photo!
That made me smile.
I was so happy; I started to dance. No really, there was a little footwork.
Then we hiked Bellygood Ledge.
It's a neat place to hike.
It led to the Upper Black Dyke. Naomi's lead, looks like.
Switching from granite to basalt is nice for sensitized fingertips. Whoa, jugs!
I felt like a kid at the jungle gym.
Naomi climbs through a small overhang.
Yippee, that was fun!
Thanks for your recent work on these two routes, Jeremy Frimer and Kelly Franz and whoever else. Big big fun.

Too much fun, yes, but it wasn't all on the run.
There was some chillin' done, too.
(Thanks again to Andy Cairns)
